7 Colors Mountain Itinerary
Day 1 Cusco – Cusipata – Llacto – Cerro Arcoiris – Llacto – Cusco
Your incredible Rainbow Mountain Trek adventure begins with pickup from your Hotel at 4 am We begin our 3-hour trip through the South Valley, en route to the trailhead in Llacto (4,638m). Along the way, there are stunning views of Incan agricultural terraces, traditional villages, valleys and high Andean peaks.
The herds of alpacas and llamas near your breakfast spot will entertain you early in the morning. Enjoy a delicious and filling breakfast and then return to the van for the final 5-minute drive to the trailhead. We begin our hike following a beautiful stream, with views of Cerro Ausangate and glaciers. This is a great place to interact with the local population, who still keep the traditional Quechua culture alive. Learn about their traditional clothing and the meaning of the different hats worn by the men. Ask your guide to teach you some Quechua words!
After walking for approximately 1.5 hours, we finally reached our destination: Rainbow Mountain is about (5,020 meters above sea level). After admiring the unique beauty of this colorful landscape, you will have time to explore the area. You can take pictures or just enjoy the view. We will be at the top for approximately 30 minutes. We finally walked back to the trailhead.
We will embark on an approximately 3-hour trip back to Cusco and drop you off at your Cusco Hotel, arriving around 5:00 p.m.

I had the most wonderful time in my visit to Cuzco and Machu Picchu with Andean Road. Jim who is a native from Cuzco truly loves and knows his city by heart, he was able to recommend the best places and activities on that dreamlike spot. The trip by train to Machu Picchu town and the Inca citadel was well organized, I didn’t have to worry about the tickets or logistics and just focused on making great memories for life .
