Full Day Inca Trail tour itinerary
Day 1 Cusco - Ollantaytambo - KM 104 - Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Our tour will begin very early; we will pick you up from your hotel at 4:00 am and then head to Ollantaytambo, where we will take the bus to the starting point.
Before boarding the train in Ollantaytambo, our guide will provide you with a packed lunch. Once on board, we will begin a scenic train ride lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, taking us to KM 104 in Chachabamba.
Passing the checkpoint of the Inca trail, we will see our first archaeological site, the magnificent ruins of Chachabamba, where our guide will give you a short explanation of the archaeological site, then we will continue our trip to the archaeological site of Winay Wayna, our walk will be approximately 3 hours where we can appreciate the diverse flora and fauna that our tour offers us, after an exhausting walk we will arrive at Winay Wayna where you can learn more about the impressive Inca culture.
After our well-deserved lunch, we will continue with our tour arriving at the Inti Punku (sun gate), where we can enjoy a panoramic view of Machu Picchu, you can take photos and our guide will give you a little information about the archaeological site of Inti Punku, We will continue our walk to reach the lost citadel of the Incas Machu Picchu, we will arrive in the afternoon and it is in our favor since Machu Picchu will be empty and you will be able to take photographs comfortably, our guide will give you a tour for approximately 2 hours.
Finally, we will take a bus to Aguas Calientes, where we will board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Our truck will be waiting to return you to Cusco.
