Dia 1 Cusco – Pitumarca – Waqrapukacara - Cusco
Our tour will begin very early, we will pick you up from your H otel at 4:00 am to head south. After a trip of approximately 3 hours we will arrive at the community of Pitumarca, where our refreshing breakfast will be waiting for us.
We will begin our 8 km walk. During our walk we will be able to observe the diversity of local flora and fauna. Upon reaching the highest part, we will take a break and then continue to Waqrapukara, at 4300 meters above sea level. Waqrapukara is believed to be a major shrine with political and religious power that is yet to be deciphered. In this place we will have a privileged view of the landscape in which this fortress was built. After our lunch we will tour the archeological zone. Finally we will return to the starting point where we will board our private mobility to return to the city of Cusco.
