After payment has been made, prices are not subject to change, even if rates and/or exchange rates have changed between the date of payment and the start of the Trek.
When making a reservation request, the hiker enters a series of data, such as the date of the Trek, their name, etc. After making the payment for the online reservation, some information can be changed, others not:
The date cannot be changed. A reservation is personal and for a specific date. Reserved spaces are not transferable or modifiable and a reservation made for a specific date cannot be transferred to another person, under any circumstances. So, this one is lost. That is why it is not possible to change the date once the reservation has been made. If, for any reason, the hiker wishes to change the departure date of their Trek, they must agree to pay for a new reservation (tickets and porter) which currently amounts to US$ 150.00, a rate subject to modification without prior notice. We promise to give the hiker the 2 reservations, the obsolete one and the new one. The change of date cannot be considered a case of force majeure and any cancellation will be subject to the conditions described in the “Cancellations and refunds” chapter.
To make any reservation, the Cusco Ministry of Culture requires that each hiker provide the full name, date of birth, as well as the passport number or an identification document (one or the other hereinafter referred to as a document) for the travelers. Peruvians (DNI) or foreigners from border countries that have a free movement agreement with Peru. We cannot accept any other document because it would be rejected by the authorities. This same document is requested before starting the Trek so that there is no identity theft. The hiker agrees to bring his/her document on the day of the Trek and must ensure that it corresponds to the one used during the reservation. In order to avoid any problems, we ask each of the trekkers to make a photocopy of the document they used to reserve and keep it until the day of the Trek.
If the document is renewed between the reservation date and the date of the Trek, the hiker agrees to provide us with a copy of the old document at least 48 hours before the Trek and present it at the Trek entrance with the new document. Otherwise, access may be denied by the authorities responsible for the archaeological site.
In case of loss or theft of the document shortly before the Trek, the hiker agrees to provide us with an official declaration of loss or theft, as well as the details of their new document, at least 72 hours before the Trek. Otherwise, access may be denied by the authorities responsible for the archeological site.
These measures are intended to guarantee the hiker that the Peruvian Authorities will not prevent their entry. In case of non-compliance with the points indicated above and in case of rejection of the document by the authorities on the day of the Trek, the hiker will not be able to demand any refund and will be prevented from entering, not by our Agency, but by of the Peruvian authorities.
