Overview of the Q'eswachaka Rope bridge full day
The Q'eswachaka Rope bridge full day tour takes you to one of the lesser-known sites along the southern valley route of Cusco. Located above the Apurímac River, this bridge stands 15 meters high and was once part of the Qhapaq Ñan or Inca Trail network. It is one of the few ancient Inca bridges that still maintains its authenticity, as it is made entirely of puna or ichu (Andean grass) straw.
In the month of June, the famous ceremony known as "the Q'eswachaka festival" is celebrated. During this festival, local communities are responsible for dismantling and repairing the bridge, where they weave new ropes using ancestral techniques.

I had the most wonderful time in my visit to Cuzco and Machu Picchu with Andean Road.
