Itinerary City Tour Cusco, Sacred Valley and Short Inca Trail
Día 1 City tour half day
Qoricancha – Sacsayhuaman – Qenqo – Puka Pukara – Tambomachay
The city tour can be done in the morning (08:00 am) or in the afternoon (01:00 pm). We begin by picking you up from your hotel and then start the tour of the Imperial City of Cusco. The first place to visit is Koricancha, the ancient Inca Palace and the main center of worship to the Sun God Inti.
Our tour continues to the archaeological site of the Sacsayhuaman fortress. According to some archaeologists, the construction raises questions about how the stones were transported to the site.
We will then explore the archaeological sites of Q’enqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay, and finally the textile center Manos de la Comunidad.
Day 2 Sacred Valley
Pisac – Urubamba – Moray – Salt Mines – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel to begin the Sacred Valley of the Incas tour. The first place to visit is the archaeological complex of Pisac with a guided tour, followed by a visit to the market in the town of Pisac.
Buffet lunch in one of the restaurants offering the best presentations of Novo Andean typical dishes in the province of Urubamba, belonging to the city of Cusco.
After lunch, we will visit Chinchero, Moray, the salt mines, and finally Ollantaytambo, where the town maintains its splendor since Inca times. At the end of the Sacred Valley tour, the guide will leave us at the Ollantaytambo station to board the 19:00 train. In Aguas Calientes, our Machu Picchu guide will pick you up and take you to your respective hotel.
Day 3 Cusco – 104 km – Sun Gate – Aguas Calientes
Pick-up from your hotel between 4:00 and 4:30 a.m. Remember to bring your original passport and ISIC card if you booked as a student.
After a 1-hour and 50-minute trip, we will arrive at Ollantaytambo, where we will board the train to KM 104. During the journey, you will appreciate the wonderful nature, local flora, and fauna.
We will get off at KM 104, the starting point of our 3-hour hike. Along the way, we will enjoy panoramic views of the Urubamba River and cross the famous Cloud Forest. We will continue to the incredible ruins of Wiñay Wayna, where we will explore its temples and agricultural terraces. The guide will share information about Inca hospitality.
After recovering energy with a delicious lunch, we will continue our hike to Inti Punku (Sun Gate), where we will enjoy a panoramic view of the majestic Inca city of Machu Picchu. Then, we will take a bus to the town of Aguas Calientes. After checking in and settling at the hotel, your guide will provide more information for the next day.
Day 4 Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo – Cusco
We will take the first bus that will take us to the Machu Picchu sanctuary, where we will witness the magnificent sunrise and sunset.
You will enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, where our guide will provide you with all the information about Machu Picchu, and we will visit the most important archaeological sites. Afterward, our guide will say goodbye to the group, but this does not mean the visit is over. You will have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own.
We will return to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to the town of Ollantaytambo, where our private transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco.

I loved the excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It was an amazing and unique experience. Our guide, he was outstanding. He was always attentive to every detail, passionately explaining the history and culture of the place...

We were lucky enough to live this adventure in a small group: just the three of us together with Urpi, an extraordinary guide. His knowledge, charisma and the detailed way of explaining each story and data made the tour even more special.

I had the most wonderful time in my visit to Cuzco and Machu Picchu with Andean Road. Jim who is a native from Cuzco truly loves and knows his city by heart, he was able to recommend the best places and activities on that dreamlike spot. The trip by train to Machu Picchu town and the Inca citadel was well organized, I didn’t have to worry about the tickets or logistics and just focused on making great memories for life .
Family
It is a very serious and responsible agency fulfilled everything offered all very cordial one feels comfortable when they treat it as family, no doubt when I return to them.
